DeRisk IT Inc. and Bevill State Community College Collaborate for Valuable Student Internship

Winfield, Alabama – January 20, 2009 - DeRisk IT Inc. and Bevill State Community College (BSCC) are pleased to announce their partnership to broaden awareness of the Quality Assurance presence in the IT industry by offering a dynamic internship in the computer science field to students starting January 2009. Lann Stewart, Vice President Global Sales, stated, "I am very excited about this opportunity to offer students a chance to intern at DeRisk IT Inc. and become aware of the vast opportunities in the software testing arena. There is not much exposure to our industry in this part of the country and this gives our company, as well as Bevill State Community College, a chance to show individuals that there are rewarding careers in this industry nationwide."
According to Stewart, "This is a win-win situation for DeRisk IT, Bevill State Community College, and the community." The students will be introduced to the software testing field and gain a working knowledge of the industry in hopes that students will pursue a career in this area.
Through the internship, students have the opportunity to sign up for the CIS 284 class at Bevill State's Fayette Campus for credits towards their degree. Stewart and Max Weaver, BSCC Fayette Campus Associate Dean, have collaborated efforts in order for this class to become a reality. Students will attend their regular classes and work onsite for DeRisk IT for a minimum of 15 hours per week.

"The ability to earn college credit while also earning experience in one's field before graduation enhances a student's professional and emotional maturity level. Students will also have the opportunity to establish valuable connections which may lead to a brighter and more promising professional career."
