On Thursday, September 17, 2015, DeRisk IT Inc. honored instructor John Measel of Bevill State Community College (BSCC) for his contribution to their Computer Science internship program.

Through the internship, students across multiple campuses of Bevill State have the opportunity to sign up for the CIS 284 class and earn credits towards their degrees. Interns work onsite at DeRisk IT for a minimum of 15 hours per week to learn about the software testing profession and gain experience in the field. The internship provides valuable skills not regularly taught in college courses, giving the students insight into an important career option and the necessary experience to gain an advantage should they choose to pursue that path.

John Measel is an integral part of the internship program, recommending the skilled talent that makes the program a success each semester. The students provide status updates in the form of written reports to Measel throughout the semester, allowing him to grade their progress alongside DeRisk IT Inc.'s final review.

Bevill State Community College is an accredited, comprehensive, learning-centered institution dedicated to providing quality educational opportunities and services that enrich lives intellectually, culturally, and economically.
